Radio Caller Wants Deer Crossing Signs Moved So Deer Won’t Cross Highways
Donna, a caller to a North Dakota radio station Y94, wanted the state’s department of transportation to remove deer crossing signs from highways, so that deer would not cross there.
She suggested moving deer crossing signs to lower traffic areas, such as school crossings, where deer were less likely to run into oncoming traffic.
The radio DJ’s tried to explain that the signs were for motorists, and not for the deer, but she was unfazed.

After the radio station posted the audio on YouTube, and over 1 million people listed to the call, the radio station called her back.
Listen to Donna after realizing that deer can’t read:
A bit embarrassed, and very reluctantly embracing her internet fame.
